Night vision: Through the spirit of a nighthawk, Amaya can see in the dark this allowed her to spot Obsidian even after he used his powers to block out the light.Avatar projections: Amaya can manifest solid energy constructs of the various animals of nature that are able to physically intact with the world, acting as soldiers to aid her.Animal empathy/communication: By manifesting the spirit of the tyrannosaurus rex, Amaya can communicate with other t-rexes and understand their emotions and body language.Powers via Spirit Totem: All of Amaya's powers come from her totem, which allow her to harness the life force of animals, in essence harnessing their abilities. Amaya was murdered in 1992 by Benatu Eshu along with her son-in-law so she wouldn't stand in his way of destroying Zambesi Village in search of the Anansi Totem. In 1946 After the War, Amaya returned to Zambesi for good and went on to have a daughter, Esi, who then had two daughters, Kuasa and Mari, the latter of whom also becomes a superhero known as Vixen. Amaya also became close with Alan Scott AKA Green Lantern and unlike most of civilization at the time, she didn't look down upon him for being homosexual. While on stakeouts, Kent Nelson AKA Doctor Fate would sing for the team and often tried to get Amaya to sing along, with no success.
